This is a good back up collar in reigning in my active little hound. She is a high jumper and tries to reach things from the counter by jumping. The remote transmitter is not waterproof, but the manufacturers claim the collar is. In any event, I think it is best to keep this away from water despite contradictory claims. My dog wears it for about an hour as I don't want to risk any pain or injury to her neck. It is voice activated and I am glad it is not something that will cause my dog any pain. It looks good and is a good training tool for that active little hound.
